The town of Siem Reap is essentially the access point to the world famous Angkor Archaeological Park. Host of tourists flock to the park yearly because of as it is one of the most important archaeological sites in Southeast Asia.

There are many ancient sites to visit, especially the temples. Do explore the museums around too, like the Angkor National Museum, which houses one thousand Buddhas. Have a trip to the Cultural Village and the Kampong Phluck Floating Village.

One interesting thing to do while you are there includes visiting the Army Shooting Range, enjoy throwing a grenade while you are there, just make sure the person supervising you is willing to stand beside you when you do that!

There are village trips, cooking classes, dirt bike trips, habitat tours and a whole lot more activities to do at Siem Reap.

Visit the markets for ceramics, bronzes, paintings, sculptures and a whole lot more for your shopping. Food are simple fare in Siem Reap, but you will have no problem finding something which suits your taste as well. There is a place call Pub Street, which is well known for its affordable watering holes and restaurants.

From KHR136,000, you can get quite a comfortable place at a Siem Reap hotel with excellant location. For those who prefer a luxurious stay while in Siem Reap, be ready to spend around KHR1,000,000 or more.
