Remember Macau's currency is pataca (MOP), which is pegged to the Hong Kong Dollar (HKD). Most businesses accepts HKD, some also accepts China's Renminbi (RMB), or some referring it to China Yuan (CNY) nowadays.
Due to its status as a gambling hub, Macau hotel rates are generally higher compared to cities in mainland China. Rates for Macau hotels starts from around HKD460 to over HKD2,300.
