Langkawi, the Jewel of Kedah, is made up of 99 islands in the Andaman Sea. It is an absolute haven for those who enjoys the nature, the sea and the sun. Known as Malaysia's Best Kept Secret, it came into prominence only in the 1980's.
There are many places to see in Langkawi. Visit the Laman Padi Rice Garden for its rice fields and landscapes, and the Legend Garden for the beautiful garden.

There are locally organized tours to several islands in Langkawi. Join the ones that bring you to Pregnant Maiden Island and Pulau Beras Basah. A dive to the cool waters of Pregnant Maiden Island is a must!
For golfers, you will be glad to know that there is a world class 18-hole course located near the Datai resort. You can opt to play 9 holes or 18 holes for a fee there.
