United Arab Emirates
Most people think that there is nothing to do in the United Arab Emirates except to stare and walk on the sand it is famous for - under the scorching heat of the sun. However, they are mistaken; for more than the ignorant assumptions toward the country, it is a very ideal place for vacation.
One of the most famous attractions is the desert itself. As majority of the land area of the present-day UAE is covered with sand, the what-used-to-be sluggish spots of the country are given life, which makes it a tourist destination. Sandboarding and camel rides are the most in-demand activities. Most hotels in UAE offer free transportation to the deserts.
UAE is an Islamic country. Thus, mosques are abundant. In Abu Dhabi, one of the largest mosques in the world is situated. It is the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, a sacred edifice which intricate designs are made picturesque especially to photo enthusiasts.
Another famous attraction in UAE is the Burj Al Arab in Dubai. Hailed as the most expensive among the UAE hotels and in the world and an apparent symbol of the country, this luxurious structure is situated on an artificial island at the Jumeirah Beach. It is reached through a private bridge and has 202 rooms, gourmet restaurants and bars.
But more than the wonderful sightings in the country, it is the nation itself which best attract tourists. The UAE community has a very conservative culture which is completely ironic with the modern infrastructures around.
