Malacca is reachable by ferry and it is often the preferred mode of transportation by people from Sumatra, Indonesia. All ferries depart and dock at the Harbour Master’s Jetty in Taman Melaka Raya near the Maritime Museum.

A very important transportation hub in Malacca, the international airport is located just 10 km away from the city. It also services domestic flights from Kuala Lumpur.
